  I spent my entire life up to my mid 20s in Spanish congregations in Texas and the number of illegal immigrants was nowhere near 90%.

  Actually right now I’m about 2 miles from the border of Juarez Mexico. The city I’m in has a population close to a million by now. The U. S. Census tells us that Texas has about 38% Hispanic or Latino. But where I’m at, the percentage of Hispanic or Latino in 2013 was over 81%. The local news said a few weeks ago that it pretty close to 90% now

  During the drug wars in Juarez a few years back I was attending the Spanish Congregation and I saw literally hundreds and hundreds of Spanish brothers and sisters cross the river and start attending the congregations in El Paso. Last I heard about 2 years ago there is over 90 congregations in Spanish and only about 15 -20 English. Most of the jw brothers cannot be MS or Elders because they are illegal. These Spanish brothers stayed here after the drug wars. They started landscaping, construction, pool cleaning and repair business. The Women started house cleaning businesses. Many of them do well and make lots of money but they are illegally in the country.

  The WT has had the Spanish conventions here for the past few years. Sometimes they have 3 summer conventions in the area because these Spanish JWs cannot travel because they will get caught in the inspections points crossing the State. But since they have money to contribute and there is about 90 congregations in the City, there is no way that WT will not exploit that.

  So just counting the Spanish congregations in my area, we are talking 70k to 100k Spanish Publishers. If they were forced to go back to Juarez Mexico, it would affect the whole JW population and Kingdom Halls in my area.

  The Spanish JWs here are very concerned that Donald Trump might become President. Many of them have business making over 100k a year. Compared to $150 a month if they go back That does not include the Non-jws that are here in this city illegally.

  ADDITIONALLY, COULD TWO HUMANS, WHO DID NOT KNOW THAT THEY WERE NAKED, POSSIBLY COMPREHEND THE CONSEQUENCES OF EATING THE FORBIDDEN FRUIT AND COMPREHEND THE CONCEPT OF DEATH?

  
  

  How could they not know they were naked? What man who was introduced to a Perfect, beautiful, naked woman, with no cable TV or internet, not figure out in a few minutes what to do with that woman?

  
  

  The story is made that way to make an excuse for all the suffering the children of Adam and Eve have had to experience. They "Inherited Sin"

  
  

  Can we really believe that months or years passed before Adam figured out what to do with Eve? Did it really take a bite of a fruit to realize where what went in where?

  Chances of Trump becoming POTUS are approximately the same as chances of Anthony Morris exhibiting humility.

  I'm not sure about that, his numbers are up regardless of all the crazy things he has said, he is number one on the Republican side in all the polls and still climbing. There is no other candidate that seems to interest the people. And we are living in a country that elected Regan, Bush, and almost Sarah Palin. And over one million people in the U.S. believe the Governing Body of the Watchtower is God's Channel. So who's to say what can happen? Would it really surprise us?

  i feel more confused than ever

  well i know i've been posting a lot of topics like this lately and i'm sorry if i sound whiny or annoying.

  my parents were asking me why i was so upset lately and i ended up just telling them the whole truth.

  i told them i don't believe in god or the bible because i don't have any evidence of anything.

  I don't know what to do. I could live my whole life being a jw even though I hate it and possibly live forever or I could live my life doing what I love and possibly be killed at armeggedon. What should I do?? Should I believe what parents say or what the so called "apostates" think? All of my old fears are returning and I feel so doomed

  Don't do anything, what's the hurry? And don't be confrontational with your parents, why add wood to the fire? Keep quite and under the radar while you do research and sort things out. It will take a while. Took me almost two years to sort everything out.

  Life after the witnesses, friends, faith etc

  hi everyone, this is my first post so go easy on me :) i have been a witness all of my life (i'm 37) and truly believed it until 3 years ago.

  my husband and i had become spiritually weak and over time i began to question more and more until i came to the conclusion that the witnesses were not the true religion but just one of many religions and that if god is there then there are many paths to get to him.

  anyway, i've battled with keeping going as my husband still believed and i didn't want to be in a divided household as we have a young daughter and thought it would be very confusing for her (and us).

  Welcome!

  How have people adapted to life outside the truth? Making friends? Have you found your new friends to be as genuine? How about faith? I feel like I still want to believe in God but don't know even where to begin.

  Life goes on regardless. You will find that people that are not JWs also come in varieties. Some are genuine and some are untrustworthy. Just like the Kingdom-Hall. So you pick and choose who you want in your circle.

  As far as God is concerned, you have returned to humanity's point of view. No one has or ever had all the answers to the God question. It just that the Watchtower made you believe they had all the answers but in reality they never did.

  If there is a God and he is almighty, just, loving, and merciful, you shouldn't have to worry about judgement. If there is no God or he doesn't care, then you shouldn't have to worry either because once we're gone we won't know a thing. So enjoy your life and your family, that's the best thing. Isn't that what the Bible teaches.

  (Ecclesiastes 3:12, 13) . . .I have come to know that there is nothing better for them than to rejoice and to do good during one’s life;  and also that every man should eat and indeed drink and see good for all his hard work.. . .

  You may want to bring up the fact that there were 3 different 1914 teachings throughout the history of the Watchtower.

  1. From late 19th century to early 20th century they taught that 1799 was the beginning of the end and the world would end by 1914. No earthquakes or pestilence Matthew 24 was supposed to have been fulfilled during the 1800 year period after Christ. Armageddon was a 40 year period of social collapse between 1874 and 1914. It was to be a slow motion collapse throughout that period culminating in pure social chaos at the end. No earthquake or fireballs etc.1914 was to be the beginning of the Millennium and the beginning of world wide peace.

  I'm not familiar with this, what WT publications is this information found in?
